Terms of Service

Fish Swap is a marketplace that lets anglers list and buy used fishing gear. You must be able to form a binding contract where you live, and you are responsible for everything done through your account.

Keep your password secure and your contact details accurate. You may only modify listings, orders and reviews that belong to your own account.

Sellers must describe items accurately, use their own photos, state the true condition, and have the right to sell the item. Counterfeit, stolen or restricted items are not allowed and may be removed.

The contract of sale is between buyer and seller. Fish Swap records the order, shows both sides the same status, and removes sold items from the marketplace. Sellers are responsible for shipping items they sell.

Listing is free. The seller fee is 12% of the item price with a $1.99 minimum, and the buyer fee is $0.00. Fees are shown before you publish a listing and before you check out, and may change with notice.

Card payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. Fish Swap never sees or stores raw card details. Sale proceeds, less the seller fee, are credited to the seller's Fish Swap balance once the order is paid and are released for payout after the order is completed.

An order completes when the buyer confirms it, or automatically three days after delivery is confirmed by the buyer or by carrier tracking. Marking an item shipped does not start that period. If the buyer reports a problem with the order before it completes, completion and the seller's payout are paused until Fish Swap resolves the issue.

Reviews may only be left by people who took part in a completed transaction. Abusive or fraudulent reviews may be removed.

Fish Swap provides the marketplace as-is and does not guarantee the condition, authenticity or legality of items listed by community sellers.
